“It has been an honor to serve on the Board of Education for the past ten years. During that time, Glastonbury has overcome many difficult challenges. I have dedicated myself to meeting those challenges with thoughtful, experienced decision-making and leadership. Our Community has embraced the Board of Education's long term and fiscally responsible solutions for meeting some of Glastonbury’s most immediate needs. As a result of that support and the innovation and leadership shown by  the Board of Education and our staff, Glastonbury is ranked as one of the best school systems in the State. 

But, we now face difficult economic times, changing state and federal requirements and new district strategic goals. I will work to meet these new requirements and goals while being extremely mindful of the economic climate.  I will continue to focus on curriculum improvements, budget priorities and improved communications between the Board of Education and our constituents.  More importantly, I will continue to be absolutely committed to the children of Glastonbury and totally focused on providing them with the best educational opportunities possible.  I will seek these opportunities for our students with the unwavering goal of achieving the best possible solution with the least economic impact on our taxpayers. 

I look forward to serving Glastonbury and sustaining the strengths of our community and our wonderful educational system. I will continue to be a voice for parents and I will listen carefully, encourage open and honest discussions, and strive to reach consensus with the citizens in our community.”
