Jim Zeller - Glastonbury Board of Education |

"The character and charm of the Glastonbury community which convinced us to move here in 1991 are alive and well despite the challenges created by the town’s growth. My wife and I have had the good fortune to witness first hand the quality and value provided by our education system as our son entered the newly renovated high school this year.
Four years ago, I committed to resolving our lack of adequate educational facilities, controlling budget growth while maintaining excellence, and working across political boundaries to solve problems. We have made great improvements to our facilities: completed on time and within budget. Annual budget increases have been kept under control, and we continue to provide a better education for less money then surrounding towns as described by the Yankee Institute for Public Policy's study “The Value Gap” which evaluated the relationship between spending and achievement for Connecticut's schools.
The residents of Glastonbury have stepped up time and again to support those of us who presented them with real solutions to educational needs. I pledge to continue providing those solutions.”
