"I am committed to the principle of public service as a responsibility of citizenship. During 40 of the 42 years I have lived in Glastonbury, I have served in public and political positions. The last 36 of these have been devoted to the Board of Finance.

During these years I have benefited from the mentors and colleagues with whom I have served. We serve as bi-partisan partners in dedication to solid, sound, and long-range fiscal responsibility. Our joint and consistent mission has been to structure and protect the fiscal integrity of our town.

Glastonbury's exemplary credit rating (TRIPLE A) is an "Honor Society" tribute to the efforts and dedication of the outstanding public servants who have been members of the Board of Finance over all these years. I am honored to have served with them."
